Why Should I Contribute to the CVC?
It’s easy! On one card (or online) you can support your favorite causes or programs.
You save postage! No need to mail the form – just give it to your volunteer coordinator.
You can pick the kind and location of charities that match your interests or needs.
100% of your designated contribution goes to the charity or charities stated. No administrative fees are taken on designated contributions!
You have the assurance that all charities participating in the CVC have been pre-screened to insure that they are fiscally sound and that they perform the services stated.
You choose how to give: cash, check, payroll deduction, stock or credit cards.
Many people find it painless to give through payroll deduction. Payroll deduction also provides an easy way to budget and keep track of your donations.
Your gift goes farther. Charities receive CVC donations in large sums, making it easier and more cost-effective to budget and provide services. In addition, a portion of undesignated CVC funds goes to Virginia charities as matching funds.
Payroll deduction allows you to budget your contribution throughout the year.
A percent of each undesignated (or general pool) contribution will also go to your charity of choice, based upon the designated contributions the charity receives. These could be considered matching funds, and increases the power of your contribution.
Giving through the CVC minimizes the intrusive personal solicitations that might occur if you participate in multiple direct fundraising drives.
Versatility. The CVC accepts contributions from cash, check, payroll deduction, stock or credit card gifts.
